However, the OEM headlight and cluster assemblies are mounted inadequately regarding any tough off-road riding, which can result in unwanted and excessive shaking and wobbling or even in a strobe light effect from the headlight on larger bumps. This typically occurs when riding down a dirt or gravel road, over a rail crossing or any other similar bumps. To assist in reducing or eliminating this unwanted shaking and to help brace the OEM headlight and cluster assembly, ALTRIDER has designed the cowl support bracket for the Tenere 700. This practical item serves to stabilize the OEM instrument panel and any accessories mounted to the cross bar, including tablets and GPS. The ALTRIDER cowl support functions as a strong link between the rear of the TFT display and the windshield brace bar, which can also be used as a GPS mount bar. Its design imparts stability by tying these items into a triangle. The instrument cluster as well as the windscreen and headlight mount points are unified by the specially formed cowl support.
